Caught on our radar

Doing business
and investing
in Australia

Our colleagues at the Ally Law member firm Russell Kennedy Lawyers, located in Melbourne and Canberra, Australia, have published a business and legal guide providing a general overview of the key legal issues of which foreign companies and other organisations should be aware when seeking to do business or invest in Australia.

Through the topics covered, a broad overview on how to do business in Australia is given. Among other things, the guide provides information regarding the regulatory bodies dealing with foreign investors, labour legislation and trademark, patent and copyright law. Moreover, the Guide also contains an extensive discussion regarding the key considerations for foreign companies interested in Australia in areas such as data security and privacy and, competition and consumer law, as well as general information on taxation.

The purpose of the Guide is not, however, to replace the specific legal advice you will require in order to set up your business or invest in Australia, but rather to provide a starting point for meeting with your Ally Law member firm when you are ready to investigate Australian prospects.

Read more on Ally Law’s website, which will lead you to the Doing business and investing in Australia Guide, by clicking here!

Thanks to our collaboration with our colleagues within the Ally Law framework, we at Lindmark Welinder can open the doors for you and your business to new ventures abroad and to support you with business law expertise worldwide, for example in Australia.
